One of the best parts about being a Phish fan is collecting the art work on each tour. Every shirt, poster, hat, and sticker that you pick up along the way brings you back to the tour and reminds you of all the fun you had. Some of the most rare and treasured pieces of Phish memorabilia you can get are those made by world renowned artist Jim Pollock. In the late 1980’s, Jim made a couple of fliers for Phish during their college days at UVM. Little did they know that making up these simple concert fliers would give way to one of the most eclectic pairings of a band and an artist in the history of Rock & Roll. Since 1995, Jim has been making limited edition linoleum prints for individual Phish shows or tours. The actual poster prints are typically released at the Phish merchandise tent just minutes before a show. For $50, a few lucky fans (usually 250) that are willing to wait on line can take home a beautifully printed “Pollock” unique to the show that it was purchased at. Certain of Pollock’s Phish prints are traded and sold on EBay for upwards of $250 depending on the edition and condition of the print. If you’re looking for a truly impressive piece of Phish history, pick yourself up a Pollock at your next show.
